Legend has it that a Chinese emperor was the first to discover Tea when some leaves were blown by chance into a bowl contain some boiling hot water. The tea we drink today is exactly the same and the brewing process has never been interfered with.
It is now known that men who drink black tea which contains catechins are 50% less likely to die of ischemic heart disease. This happens when our arteries become clogged and are unable to function as they should due to constriction.
We now know that drinking between a half and two cups of tea each and every day may promote fertility by inhibiting abnormalities in our chromosomes. In a recent test two hundred and fifty women drank as little as half a cup of tea per day and their pregnancy rates were double those who did not.
To get rid of puffy eyes lie on your bed or wherever and place either a moist teabag or tea compress over both of your eyes and leave for about 20 minutes. Swelling around the eyes will disappear and your eyes will return to their former glory.
One way to rid your refrigerator of unpleasant smells is to place one or two used tea bags somewhere within the fridge. The next day any bad smell will be gone!
Use tea to kill warts. The tannic acid found in tea is said to be just as effective in killing warts as many wart removers that you can purchase over the counter at the local drug store! Soak a black tea bag in hot water, and then place the damp bag on the wart itself for fifteen minutes a couple of times each day. Slowly the wart will shrink and soon disappear.
Medical researchers have known for many years that men in Asian countries who consume green tea have very low instances of prostate cancer. Many prominent researchers are convinced that this is due to green tea containing many powerful antioxidants and preventative anti-cancer agents.
In recent Australian studies CSIRO scientists found that the occurrence of skin cancer in laboratory mice was greatly reduced when they were given black tea. It is thought that polyphenols which are very strong antioxidants and are contained in the tea are the most likely reason for this phenomenon.
The most expensive teabag in the world was made for the 75'th anniversary of the PG TIPS tea company. The bag was filled with two hundred and eighty diamonds and expensive limited edition tea leaves. The bag cost 7,500 pounds and was sold at auction in aid of a Children's hospital in the United Kingdom.
Did you know that Turkey is a nation of mainly Tea drinker? In fact Turkey is now the worlds number one nation when it comes to tea drinking. Many Turks drink a staggering twenty to thirty cups per day each and tea is now practically their national drink.

“Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” Starts the Awards Season in Style

The awards season for Hindi films usually starts off in the New Year. But viewers of India's no.1 news channel have had their say at the end of the old year and their voice is loud and clear: "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" is the best film of the year 2008. The year end Movie Masala awards which bases its honours exclusively on the votes of the viewers of Aaj Tak, India's no.1 news channel, have also declared Anushka Sharma as the debutante of the year and acknowledged Aditya Chopra's return behind the camera as the best directorial turn of the year.

Clearly, the sensitivity and humour with which the film depicted the initial moments in the life of a newly married couple has struck a chord with Indian viewers. Aditya Chopra's delicate direction has not gone unnoticed and Anushka Sharma's richly textured performance has surprised viewers with its maturity, especially as this was her first acting performance of any kind in any medium. Few days ago I found that forum software was out of date. 1 day ago I tried to update it. But failed. I don't know why this was happened? Today I again tried to update forum software and it got updated smoothly without any problem.

Software update includes bug fixes, some changes and few new minor feature(you can't notice them easily).

Forum theme also updated. Now it matches with current vibgyorlife.com theme.

"Life is beautiful.", it is always said, and for Rohit Avasti (25), this seems to be very true. Though his job as a junior accountant with "Trendz", a leading fashion magazine, is not very promising, he is still enjoying every bit of it because that's the only way and place where he can meet Simran.Simran Kapoor (24), his love, his obsession, his goal in life.

Rohit's friend Kabir (26) has made several attempts to warn Rohit that Simran is only manipulating him for her personal gains, but fails to succeed, and it is in this scenario, that Soha is introduced to Rohit.

Soha (24) is aware of Rohit's one-sided unconditional love for Simran, yet finds it difficult to hold herself back. Coming from a disturbed family background, she craves for a strong relationship, with a caring man who can heal her deep wounds. Her heart beats faster whenever she is with him and reiterates the fact that she is indeed in love with him.

Soha's mystic persona draws Rohit closer to her. His otherwise dull life is sprinkled with colors of Soha's virgin love and charm. Both of them hold hands to walk the aisle under the rainbow unaware of the dark clouds hovering above them.

Just when things were going good for Rohit and he was basking in Soha's love, he is made to participate in a bet without his consent.by whom and why??? Rohit fails to understand. The bet. "a pregnant lady whom Rohit does not know is about to deliver a baby. If she delivers a baby girl Rohit stands to win rupees 3 lakhs in cash and if in case she delivers a baby boy Rohit will get nothing."

Though not wanting to, Rohit wins the bet and earns Rs 3 lakhs but who is playing this game with him, he wonders again. This is when he is lured into the second bet. This time the stakes are higher and so is the risk. Life is not only beautiful but also very grateful, Rohit thinks, for love is smiling at him on one end and on the other the goddess of wealth.

He plunges himself in the second betting willingly and wins Rs 7 lakhs and now the battle of love and greed starts. The beautiful life that promised happiness and bliss is now spitting fire of disaster. Friends have become foes. The greed for money has overshadowed the brightness of love. The last bet for one crore rupees turns ugly and Rohit is framed for a murder which he did not commit. The fight for truth begins and the ensuing drama unfolds a story never told before.

Rohit, who always wanted to make it big, but had no means and when he had it.life had some other bloody plans for him.

Synopsis

Now, one of Prithvi's paintings has revealed her as dead! The only way she can change her fate, is to unravel this mystery with his help, at the risk of alienating herself from her boyfriend, Yash, who is a rational and logical man. Bad Luck Govind is the story of an obsessive, compulsive, down-on-his-luck, young man Govind (VJ Gaurav Kapur), who has some kind of a mind-blowing disconnect with the higher powers of the universe.

A hilarious national incident with news anchor Mamta (Archana Puran Singh) lands Govind in Mumbai from his native Delhi. Anyone who is trying to stop smoking is better off taking some time to understand a few facts about it.

History of Facts about Smoking.

Tobacco and tobacco smoking was common in the Americas long before the time of Columbus. It was first brought to Europe by a few of Columbus' sailors, and was popularized by a monk Ramon Pane.

By the time of Sir Walter Raleigh, pipe smoking was the fashion throughout all of Europe. Even then, there were people who felt it was a dangerous and unhealthy habit.

Smoking was banned at Buckingham Palace by Queen Victoria in the late 1800's. In 1912 Dr. Isaac Alder presents the first strong link between smoking and lung cancer. And in 1942 the Lancet publishes a paper by researcher L.M. Johnston describing addiction for the first time.

Health and Facts about Smoking.

Tobacco is addictive, whether smoked, chewed or used as snuff. Since the early 1940's a correlation has been noted between increases in cigarette smoking and increases in lung cancer.

There are different hazards for different forms of smoking. Cigarette smoking is most likely to cause lung cancer, as opposed to cigar smoking, which normally causes cancer of the mouth and throat.

Because cigars contain no tar, they are sometimes incorrectly thought to be safer than cigarettes. There is no such thing as a 'less unhealthy' form of cancer. Cigarette smoke in a confined space is unhealthier for the people nearby then the smoker.

There is no filter on this 'second hand smoke' the way there is inside the cigarette. Smoking has been found to increase risks of high blood pressure and heart disease. Statistic show that on average, a smoker who quits by the age of 35 can extend their lifespan up to 8 year. (American Journal of Public Health, 2002)

Quitting and Facts about Smoking.

The addictive effect of nicotine makes it very difficult to stop smoking. There are two standard techniques for quitting: going 'cold turkey' and weaning off.

Going cold turkey refers to abruptly stopping all use of nicotine products, and avoiding future exposure as much as possible.

Although going cold turkey can be assumed to be the most difficult method, many find it the only way. Heavy smokers who go cold turkey will experience nicotine withdrawal.

For smokers who go cold turkey, having something to occupy the hands and mouth in place of a cigarette or cigar can help. The use of substitutes such as hard candies or "plastic cigarettes" are popular.

Weaning off refers to gradually reducing nicotine intake until intake ceases entirely. Weaning off reduces the risk of withdrawal symptoms, and is frequently considered the easier means of quitting.

However, weaning off can take a long time, and people with certain medical conditions, or people who are simply impatient, may not have time to wean off gradually.

Weaning off can involve a variety of options, including gradually increasing the amount of time between smoking and the use of nicotine substitutes, such as gum or the patch.

Both techniques have a variety of tools developed to make quitting easier. Some smokers who have been smoking for years have been as much 'addicted' to the familiar feeling of having a cigar or cigarette in their mouths, as to the nicotine.

These smokers sometimes form the habit of holding an unlit cigar or cigarette in their mouths, to have the familiarity and taste, without the smoke. While this is certainly better then smoking, and will reduce or eliminate most of the dangers of smoking, it is unclear whether it will reduce the occurrence of mouth and gum cancers in users.

Yash Raj Films' "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" does "Extraordinary" Business over the Second Weekend!

After grossing a record breaking Rs.90 crores in its first week worldwide, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has crossed beyond a phenomenal Rs.30 crores gross in its second weekend. This is by far the highest collection, even surpassing Dhoom:2 and Chak De India, both of which did outstanding business in their second weekend.

The total collections for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in India over the second weekend are around Rs.15 crores net (i.e. gross collections of Rs.24 crores). The total gross collections for all overseas markets, where it continues with its tremendous opening week performance, during the same period are over $1.5 Million (i.e. around Rs.7.5 crores).

In fact, the gross figures for the first 10 days are a staggering Rs.120 crores and more, making Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi by far the biggest hit of 2008. Bitmeter is a freeware utility that monitors your bandwidth usage. It shows your upload and download speed in coloured graphs. You can get regular reports of your usages. You can also export these reports for MS Excel.
If you are having ISP restrictions on data usage then you must use this utility. You can set download/upload limit and it will alert you when you cross your limits.
You can also remotly monitor your data usage with its web based interface. To enable Web Based Interface right click on the monitor and click on settings. Now goto Web Server section and enable "Run Web Server". Enter the port number and click apply.

If you want to check it from your local system then open your web browser and type http://localhost:<port number>/

Upload files to Google Docs with Google Docs Gadget

Do you have Google Desktop? With Google Doc Gadget for Google Desktop you can upload files to your Google Doc Account by just dragging and dropping. This gadget made very easy to upload files. However it didn't allowed me to upload "exe" files. I can understand this is because of security reasons. It has a "New" button in the bottom. By clicking here you can launch browser to create new documents, spreadsheets or presentation. This is useful gadget however it could be better if it was having folder upload functionality. Hope this will come in next versions.
